Definition- (1)weariness of body or mind from strain(2) a condition of indolent indifference.

Book Sentence-He was unwilling to abandon this lovely lassitude , but he had to, of course.

My Sentence- As I sat on the bed, a sense of lassitude came over me.

LASSITUDE

Definition- (1) characterized by or expressing goodwill or kind feelings (2) desiring to help others (3) intended for benefit rather than profit.

Book Sentence-Archie turned and smiled at him benevolently, like a goddam king passing out favors.

My Sentence- He wished that he could become benevolent, the opposite of his present self.

Book Sentence-He moved with a subtle rhythm, languidly, the walk of an athlete although he hated all sports and had nothing but contempt for all athletes.

My Sentence-She walked languidly to her class, for she was ill prepared for her science test.

My Sentence- He walked by, barely noticing the edifice barely 5 feet from him.

My Sentence-She walked quietly through the tumultuous walkway, ignoring everyone.
