Confederation Centre's Charlottetown Festival announced an ambitious schedule for 2015, with five shows in total on its three stages. After 50 successful seasons, and a Guinness World Record, it is no surprise that Anne of Green Gables - The Musical TM will return. This year it will run in repertory with the popular Alice Through the Looking-Glass, coming to Charlottetown from Ottawa's NAC and Stratford Festival. The Charlottetown Festival believes in woman power, and the successful original musical Evangeline returns to the stage for a September-October run before moving on to Edmonton's Citadel Theatre. Bitter Girls - The Musical has its world premiere at The Mack, Confederation Centre's cabaret theatre. Adding tunes from the 60s and 70s to this popular franchise is bound to make a hit show. And in Studio Theatre, the heart-warming and humorous Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad will run through the summer.
