ANNOUNCEMENTS
† THE CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; People: He rises to show you compassion. Leader: For the LORD is a God of justice. People: Blessed are all who wait for him! Leader: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you. Leader: Let us worship God. Isaiah 30:18
* † THE HYMNS OF PRAISE..............................................................................(8:30 A.M.) Hymn #55 To God Be the Glory (all verses) Eternal Weight of Glory (see below)
Sing to the King (11:00 A.M.)
Oh Lord, it’s You we recognize, let the veil be lifted from our eyesYou are God, You created us to sing to You
Sing to the King all the people Sing to the King, for He is the One Who is worthy of all the praise that we could ever give Sing to the One who paid our ransom Lift up His name higher than the heavens Sing to the King for who He is
Oh Lord, we lift our praises high, may our voices and our hearts collideAnd perform You a living sacrifice, we were made for You
O God above the nations, O God above our sinsLean your ear to hear us, let your church sing again
Now the days and hours and moments of our suff’ring seem so longAnd the toilsome wait and wond’ring threaten silence to our songNow our pain is real and pressing where our faith is thin and weakBut our hope is set on Jesus and we cling to him, our strength
For behold! I tell a myst’ry, at the trumpet sound we’ll wake Death is swallowed up in vict’ry, when we meet our King of Grace Every year we thought was wasted, every night we cried “How long” All will be a passing moment in our Savior’s vict’ry song
THE MOMENT FOR MISSIONS.........................................................Mission to SwedenPhoebe Pritchett
THE PRAYER TIME WITH THE LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
THE WELCOME
THE OFFERING AND PRAYER OF DEDICATION Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Romans 12:13
†THE SCRIPTURE READING.......................................................................James 1:21-2721Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.26If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. 27Religion that is pure and unde-filed before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their afflic-tion, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
Pastor: This is God’s Word.People: Thanks be to God.
Children grades PreK & 5K may be dismissed for Children’s Church.

† THE HYMN OF CONSECRATION.............................................(8:30 and 11:00 A.M.)
Hymn #252 When I Survey the Wondrous Cross (verses 1,2)
When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of glory diedMy richest gain I count but loss and pour contempt on all my pride
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast save in the death of Christ, my GodAll the vain things that charm me most I sacrifice them to His blood
Isaac Watts. Public Domain.
THE CONFESSION OF SIN
THE ASSURANCE OF PARDONING GRACE The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
† THE CONFESSION OF FAITH......................................................The Apostles’ CreedI believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and Earth, andin Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the HolyGhost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell.* The third day He arose againfrom the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand ofGod the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick andthe dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic** church; the commu-nion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
*experienced the full fury of the Father's wrath; was utterly forsaken, rejected, and abandoned**universal-not limited to any one particular denomination, nation, or ethnicity

Hymn #252 When I Survey the Wondrous Cross (verses 3,4)
See from his head, his hands, his feet, sorrow and love flow mingled downDid e’er such love and sorrow meet or thorns compose so rich a crown
Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were a present far too smallLove so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all
