Safety Assessment Program
SAP is intended to help local governments perform
facility safety evaluations as quickly as possible.

SAP Capabilities
– Managed by CalEMA – Multi-Hazard

• Evaluator – for civil engineers,
architects, and building inspectors

• Coordinator – for building officials
and emergency managers (~350)
• Train-the-Trainer – to train evaluators
to become official trainers (~230)
