Manchester Institute for Sports & PerformanceThe owners of Manchester City FC have been part of a local au-thority initiative to regenerated the surrounding areas around the Eithad Stadium. Everyone is aware of the sporting history of Manchester with two of largest clubs in world located within a mile of each other. With this sporting heritage the need a scientific performance building was commissioned and The Cad Room was asked to lead in the coordination of the MEP services throughout the building. This was a complex building with exposed steel work and drop-down beams. Services includ-ed ventilation, heating, chilled, domestics, above ground drain-age, containment and specialist artic pipework to serve the cold rooms.

It has been a part of Liv-erpool for decades and 2010 a new state of the art hospital was commissioned to be built. We were employed by our client Crown House Tech-nologies to help with the coordination and prefabri-cation of service modules for all MEP related services. This included ventilation, heating, chilled, domestics, containment, above ground drainage and extensive medical gas pipework throughout our area. Upon successful completion of our initial zone we were asked to completed further areas within the project

like; external trenches, plantrooms and the new Out Patients department (OPD) building. We completed all aspects of our contract and established a great working relationship with our client.

In the same area as the new Alder Hey children’s hos-pital the adult hospital was in need of a new resur-gence. Thanks to significant investment a new uni-versity hospital was given the green light to be built. In 2014 after our success on Alder Hey we were asked to be involved with this even larger project. In-itially we were given a floor to complete fully coor-dinated modules and working drawings, there were approximately 125 modules on this floor all detailed to the manufactures specifications. Over the course of the project we have now completed 5 floors in to-tal which includes around 450 modules

Thanks to our ongoing success with our previous hos-pitals completed with our client Crown House Tech-nologies The Cad Room were invited to coordinate the woman and children’s building for the new Dum-fries and Galloway hospital in Scotland. Although this project is of a smaller scale to our pre-vious projects our coordination expertise was very much utilised as this part of the build was heavily congested with services and how we still had to add modules for prefabrication. Currently we are still on the project and looking forward to a successful com-pletion and a bright future with our client.
