As we wind down on this most recent stretch of projects, we are busy planning to ramp up again for our next big run. With another 9 large projects scheduled to begin starting in Sep- tember, we should begin to see our head count gradually rise leading up to our next expected peak in labor around February/ March of 2014, bringing our current staffing levels back to well over 200 un- ion employees again. Mike Tobin, Plumbing and Piping Superinten- dant expects to see about 100 new plumbing and piping workers during this ramp up, while Rick Hood, HVAC Superinten- dent, estimates another additional 40 sheet metal workers will need to be brought in during this time. This includes not only increases in our need for new field labor but also increases in produc- tion coming out of both detailing and fabrication departments as well, as all of these new projects will require a full spec- trum of BMC services. As we look forward to this next large wave of activ- ity for our company, its important to remember to welcome the new BMC family members, teach them the BMC way of doing things, and remind them of our focus on exe- cution and safety at the workplace.
