Aims: 1
• Create an online catalog of Britten’s complete works based around the composer’s holograph manuscript sources (98% at BPF), including: • all published, original works• arrangements and realizations• juvenilia• unfinished works• unrealized projects

• To provide documentary information for each work, including:• Composition details (date, revision, dedicatee, text set, etc)
• Brief composition history (for complex works)
• Details of manuscript sources• Publishing information• Notation and corresponding audio incipits
Aims: 3
• To ensure that the catalog design is extendable in order to integrate information from other BPF resources or future projects, including:
•Correspondence•Diary entries•Photographs•Production materials (costumes, set designs, programs)
•Bibliography •Upcoming performance calendar
Aims: 4
• To create a catalog that exploits the potential of, and is appropriate to, online functionality:• Concise individual records• Efficient use of cross referencing links
• Content rich features / multimedia not incorporated into traditional print based thematic catalogs
