Please find information regarding SC&012(1) as requested .

I have established that?$ worked two Saturday's regarding Operation Malham at 4 hours each dayand claimed a total of 8 hours .

29 worked on the weekend 25th/26th May on Operation Malham . However as 30 is on leave Icannot verify the actual hours 36 worked in this respect . There is now no requirement for staff to copy their overtimeforms to the lead accountant team and3i may well have asked someone from SC&022 to sign off s7 overtimeform . This has highlighted a problem and C &012 will have to put in place a system for capturing any hours workedfor other OCUs!, 32 line manager had given approval for 38 to work this overtime but was not informed what hoursthis amounted too .I have discussed this with Cecilia and agreed that we should show33 working 8 hours on the Saturday and Sunday .This can be clarified on 3 4 return to work on 11th July .

Hi Jane

Re the e-mail below from Cecili a

I've run daris reports on SC&021 and SC&026 both have a nil spend on S /C 207 for May and June (I'vechecked local code 207 Nil spend )

With regards to SC&01 2 and 16 the daris report only shows a spend against cost centre code S0008 for May- nil spend for June . (thank you44 for your help )

I've attached the daris report and completed the template for Police Officers accordingly . I'm not sure if thesefigures will change, as we are dependant on the officers and their line managers approving the overtime oncarms . You may need to check before submitting .

I've not completed any of the Police Staff overtime, as I'm not sure on how to glean the information required .

Kind Regards

Karen

QUICK GUIDE TO THE CORPORATE VOLUNTARY EXIT SCHEM E

What is the voluntary exit scheme?

It is an opportunity for eligible staff to volunteer to leave the MPS with a compensationpayment and, for those above minimum pension age in a Principal Civil Service PensionScheme (PCSPS), to take an early pension, either on an actuarially reduced basis orunreduced, subject to a deduction from your compensation payment .

What is the compensation payment ?

It is 1 month's pay per year of current service up to a maximum of 21 months' pay .Service over 21 years does not provide any additional benefit . Staff at or near pension

age receive reduced compensation .

How is pay defined ?

Pay is defined as the full-time rate of pay on your date of leaving plus the full-time rateof any permanent pensionable allowances . In the MPS the most common allowancesare location allowance, service-related pay and shift disturbance allowance . If you are arostered shift worker and in a premium pay grade, premium pay can also be included .

There is a minimum (£23,000 p .a .) and a maximum (£149,850 p .a.) rate to be applied in

the calculations. If you earn less than the minimum (including regular allowances) theminimum applies .

How js service defined for the Compensation payment?

The first day of your continuous service is the date you started working for the MPS,unless you have previous service with another Civil Service Department and there was abreak of no more than 1 working day if you joined between 1 September 2002 and 30

July 2007, or a break of no more than 28 days if you joined from 30 July 2007 onwards .In these cases your start date would be the date when you started your previous CivilService employment .

If you joined the MPS from another Civil Service Department before 1 September 2002any previous service with another Civil Service Department does not count towards theCompensation payment . This is because the MPS was not a member of the Civil Service

pension arrangements prior to this date .

Service is reduced if you have worked part time or had time off pay for any reason .

Compensation PaymentThe scheme provides a compensation payment(Lump Sum) :

- 1 year's service to be eligible1 month's pay per year of service

- Maximums apply :• Staff under pension scheme = 21 months' pay ;• Staff over pension scheme age = 6 months' pay .

• Staff within 15 months' of pension scheme age will be tapered .- 3 months' notice

Minimum (£23,000) & maximum (£149 ,820) pay applies

How do I calculate my compensation payment ?

Use the calculator which you will find within the toolkit at the bottom of the Frequently

Asked Questions (FAA's) contained in the Corporate Voluntary Exit Scheme pale . You

will need :

• Your most recent payslip to confirm pay and permanent allowances . If you aredue a pay increase your default date of leaving, such as an increment, that willcount. Equally, if your pay is reduced, for example if you stop working shifts, thepayment will reflect that reduction .

• The date on which you last joined the MPS and details of any time off pay (forexample during sickness, career breaks or unpaid maternity leave) and any part-

time service . You can check these on MetHR Self service .

The date of leaving the scheme will be the date you need to calculate your service to,assuming you continue your current working arrangement until then .

More detailed instructions on how to use the calculator are shown within the toolkit

provided under the FAQ's in the Corporate Voluntary Exit Scheme page which will give

you an indication of the :

o Pension buy out - if applicable

Am I eligible to take my pension early ?

Provided you have at least 2 years' qualifying service and you are over 50 in Classic orjoined Premium before 1st April 2006 or over 55 if in Nuvos or joined Premium after 1st

April 2006 you have reached minimum scheme pension age and have three options :

a. defer the pension that you have been accruing and receive it at your normal schemepension age . Details of which can be found on your last Annual Pension BenefitStatement . This option would allow you to retain your full compensation payment, subject to tax .

b. receive your pension immediately on actuarially reduced terms (on account of

receiving it early) . Your pension is reduced permanently by approx 5% for each year

before scheme pension age, which is to reflect that your pension will be paid forlonger. See results from the calculator . This option would allow you to retain your

full compensation payment, subject to tax .

c . receive your pension immediately and buy out the reduction to receive you r

pension unreduced . You can use your com pensation payment to buy out thereduction however you must buy out the reduction in full . If your compensation

payment is more than is required to buy out the reduction, you will receive th e

re mainde r of the com pensat ion payment . I f your compensation payment is no t

enough to buy out the reduction, the MPS has agreed to fund the difference . This i s

known as the `top-u p ' .
