THE RAVENS CERTIFY FOUR LEVELS FOR SPRING BALL… CREDIT: JOSE ALVARADO In only the Ravens’ second year of participating in TYFA’s spring football league, Cy-Fair has certified four levels for official play. “Each year we are looking for bigger and better production from ourselves,” said Coach Austin. “We believe that our success starts with a solid spring football program where we are looking to develop players and compete for a championship.” The Ravens will be able to accomplish both objectives this spring with a rejuvenated program and some newly acquired players who are looking to prove that they belong in TYFA. The JV level in particular boasts some exciting new prospects. Pledging to ‘Feed the beast’ this spring, Coach Nick’s junior level boasts some impressive talent. -cont. page 5 RAVENS BRASS ATTEND TYFA ANNUAL MEETING -San Antonio, Texas TYFA held its annual meeting on March 10 th on the campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio. Three members of the Ravens executive board were in attendance. -cont. page 5. JV QUARTERBACK Jordan Duncan Leads on the Field and In the Classroom. Big, fast with a cannon arm, southpaw quarterback Jordan Duncan was a stud for the Ravens Junior Varsity last fall. -cont. page 4. Tough News for Star Rookie Lineman. During the Ravens’ spring camp, Demarcus Green #6 was consistently the best overall player in the 10U lineman workouts. “Demarcus dominated everyone that lined up against him,” said Coach Q. “He was unstoppable.” -cont. page 5.

The ‘Ravens Spring Cheer Conditioning Camp’
was a huge success. There were a large number of
attendees including many new faces. All indications
are that the word is getting out about the Cy-Fair
Ravens cheer program. “We are extremely pleased
and excited about the conditioning camp,” said
Coach Q. “Within a few short hours, we saw new
athletes executing cheers and stunts. This is due to
out outstanding coaching staff.”

-Cheer Camp continued…
“The girls learned cheer techniques, worked on
conditioning exercises to enhance cheer skills and
learned some out our most popular cheers and chants
from the 2017 season, “ said Coach Haralson, Head
Coach of the Ravens.
Coach Haralson particularly credits the volunteer
cheer staff for the successful program.
“The staff did a wonderful job working with the
girls. Hats off to Erica Warner (Ravens Cheer Director)
and Coach Charnara Jones (Assistance Coach) for
taking the lead on this event,” said Haralson.
While the Ravens are appreciative of each family that
participated in the free conditioning camp, Coach
Haralson is eager to continue the relationship as the
‘Lady Ravens’ prepare for the fall cheer season. “The
camp was an awesome start to the 2018 season.
However, the entire cheer staff is super excited about
