The Bird's Eye View by Nathan Hield

Our expedition, The Immigrant Experience, gave each middle school student the opportunity to interview an immigrant. Each immigrant shared their personal journey with their assigned student. Through this process, along with their studies, students came to understand more deeply how U.S. foreign and immigration policy affects people’s lives. As part of the expedition, 7th graders wrote and illustrated children's books.
