Another great weekend rally with our Airstream friends: Pat & Jim Hentz, Winston & Carol Montague with their son, Scott, Lamar & Amy Waymire, Charlie & Annette Hurst, Bill & Frankie Worthington, Anita & Bill Daws, Wally & Carol Welch, Margie & Les Wells, Don & Sandy Wood, Jay & Elna Thompson, the Duncan’s, and our rally host, Rosemarie & Gary Anderson, Sheila & Jim Skipper. After our breakfast on Saturday morning a unit business meeting was called to order. Three items of business was addressed: increasing our community service cash donations to four local food drives from $25 to $75; selecting our International Rally delegate, Wallace Welch with Elna Thompson as our alternate delegate; and voting on the motorhome amendment. (Each of our 46 members represents 2.17%, thus the rounded vote of 2% For 44% Against.) The minutes of our meeting are made a part of this newsletter. Late Saturday evening our hosts treated us to a great low country boil including clam chowder from Cedar Key, Florida. There are no unit rallies during the summer months of June, July, & August. Many of our members will be traveling and caravanning during the summer months. We wish them safe travels and look forward to hearing of their fun and adventures at our next rally in September at Top of Georgia, Helen, Georgia. Your President, Gayle Duncan

President’s Comments:

The weather at Rocky Bayou SP, Niceville, Florida was idea for camping and relaxing. Another great weekend rally with our Airstream friends: Pat & Jim Hentz, Winston & Carol Montague with their son, Scott, Lamar & Amy Waymire, Charlie & Annette Hurst, Bill & Frankie Worthington, Anita & Bill Daws, Wally & Carol Welch, Margie & Les Wells, Don & Sandy Wood, Jay & Elna Thompson, the Duncan’s, and our rally host, Rosemarie & Gary Anderson, Sheila & Jim Skipper.

Rally Rocky Bayou - May 18, 2013 Minutes In attendance Frankie & Bill Worthington,RoseMarie & Gary Anderson, Sheila & Jim Skipper, Margie & Les Wells, Sandy & Don Woods, Pat & Jim Hentz, Elna & Jay Thompson, Anniedia & Bill Daws, Carol & Winston Montague, Carol & Wally Welch, Annette & Charlie Hurst, Gayle & John Duncan and Chris Duncan. Minutes read, Annette Hurst moved to approve. Don Woods seconded Jim Hentz gave theTreasurers report Gayle read a Thank you letter from region 3 President Jay Thompson thanking the club for the breakfast and the help during the Region 3 rally. Committee reports Nominating committee John Duncan, Gary Anderson, Jim Hentz and Bill Worthington will be meeting following the business meeting to discuss the potential slate of officers for next year. Wounded warrior. Gary Anderson thanked everyone for their contributions Unfinished business. Sheila Skipper motioned to raise the $25 community donation to $75 which comes out of the church fund. Elna Thompson second. Vote Passed. Food banks recommended: Calhoun - Liberty Minstery center, Family Service agency in Panama City FL. American Second Harvest in the Big Bend-Tallahassee. Care and Share in Chipley. Sheila Skipper proposed and Jay Thompson seconded. Vote passed. New business. Wally Welch was appointed by the chairman as a delegate to the International Rally. Elna Thompson is alternate. Don Woods suggested raising the fuel allowance to $400. John Duncan motioned to make it $400. Sheila Skipper seconded. Vote Passed. Amendment for motor homes at International Rally. Jay Thompson summed up amendment. Discussion ensued. Vote for amendment: 1. Vote against amendment: 12. Our unit vote at International will be Yes 4, No 42 based upon a membership of 46. Sheila &Jim Skipper shared about travel insurance companies and the importance to have when on the road. Gary Anderson shared rally schedule for 2014. Stressed to keep it simple as a host. Details will be in next newsletter. Jim Hentz announced the unit caravan for 2014 .....Plantation tour in Georgia. March 23 to March 29. Jay Thompson discussed region 3 rally to be held around Ashville, No. Carolina. Date to be announced in early June. Treasurer Report from Jim Hentz:

General Fund as of May 20, 2013 $1,805.37 after deposit of $235 from Unit Auction, and $210 from Rally fees, minus disbursement of $225 for Wounded Warrior Project, and reimbursements to rally host of $291.63.

Church Fund as of May 20, 2013, $346.42 after disbursement of $300 to four local food banks.
