From Fr. PJ : As I have mentioned last week at Masses I am taking my Sabbatical and taking a new appointment when I return to the Diocese. I have enjoyed my ministry at St. Finbars Parish. You are great people and I thank you for your support and encouragement. My appointment to this parish has been a great blessing to me. I really have enjoyed working with Fr. Wim Hoekstra as his Assistant Priest. He encouraged me in all my initiatives while I focused mainly at Emu Plains Parish. I will continue to share my gifts and talents with others wherever I go. Let me thank you, St Finbars Parishioners, for giving me the great honour of allowing me to serve as your Assistant Parish Priest and an Administrator. Special thanks to our staff and others who ministered with me with great co-operation especially to Margaret, Peter, Jean, Ros, Julie and Margaret Richards especially during Holy Week. Special thanks to our School staff and Principals especially Mrs Donna McFadzean who supported me bringing our school children for weekday and Sundays Masses based on each stage. I see a great light and future for this parish because you are just great. Thank you for giving me cards and gifts during Christmas and Easter. Thank you, my Parishioners. May God always bless you. Golden Jubilee Prayer of St. Finbar’s Glenbrook
Beloved Creator God, You have brought us, rejoicing to our Golden Jubilee. We remember with gratitude, the countless many, those living and those now in glory,
who established and fostered our parish faith community. We celebrate your call to us, each as one, and as families in Christ,
to be a welcoming community for all; to worship together, to proclaim your word, and to respond to human needs. We believe that your Spirit of Love will deepen in us as we go forward,
our faith in Christ Jesus, who lived among us, died, was raised up, and who will come again. Faithful God, on this Golden Jubilee, we, your beloved people, in St.
Finbar’s entrust ourselves to You, renewing ourselves in faith, hope

On behalf of the Parish Advisory Committee I invite you to a celebration of our Ministries on Sunday 3 May at 11.00am and we will continue the conversation over lunch which will be catered by our wonderful volunteers. This gathering will be facilitated by Linda Ferrington RSC and will enable us to discern together how we can continue to build and celebrate our living faith. Also, an opportunity to meet our new Administrator, Father Jolly, and he will be able to listen to your insights and suggestions. As a valued member of this community we invite you most sincerely to participate in this gathering. Would you RSVP by Wednesday 29 April for catering purposes. Replies should be made to the Parish Secretary at [email protected], or leave your name on the sheet on the Wardens’ Table. Ann Keating. Chair of Parish Advisory Committee
