The quarry of poetry
This quarry, now disused, is used in summer as a cultural place: you can find poems carved in marble from many poets. This place is also known as "marble book“.
The seaside of Carrara
Marina of Carrara is a resort destination for many families who like to spend the summer at sea and at the same time wish to visit important tourist destinations.
It has an important function in the economy of our town for
the marble exportation, the most important source of our territory. Marble has been extracted from the Apuan Alps for centuries and it has always been the “dream material” of the most famous sculptors all over the world.
