The Environment

Education and training are the foundation of ourairpower advantage. To maintain this advantage in thefuture, we must safeguard and reinforce thatfoundation. All Airmen, whether teacher or student, have a role in ensuring that we remain the mosttechnically proficient, best-educated, and best-trainedair force in the world. We will maximize our Airmen’spotential by refining our development programs tomove beyond classroom-based instruction andincorporating leading-edge educational concepts.

2015 Tiger Team Results

Create a central focal point at AU for guiding research, publishing, outreach, leadership development, networking, problem solving & consultation

Allow AU to deliberately, proactively and collectively focus on leadership development across the AF to include leadership competencies and innovative learning experiences

Connect AU with “the field” through research and lessons learned to analyze and assess the AF’s leadership education requirements (and measure outcomes)

Support educating more Airmen more broadly and more deeply on the subject of leadership by creating and maintaining an AF-wide strategic roadmap and a common “vocabulary” for a career-long continuum experience
