The afterlife is what the Ancient Egyptians

believed that after you die, there is

another life and you need to do things to

go there

Before Pharaohs were the only people who

could go on Ra’s magical boat and to the

afterlife. But thanks to the god Osiris

everybody could go to the afterlife

The Ancient Egyptians believed that they

needed three things to go to the afterlife

Maat

somewhere. In the cartouche of course.

Scribes put a symbol like around

the name of a pharaoh to show that this

person is important.

Everyone was scared of the god Ammut.

They believed that you had to do good

deeds all the time when you are alive so

your heart would be light. If you don’t,

you will be given to Ammut Ammut will eat

you

If you have all the things done on the

previous slides you will get something

called that Ba and Ka.

Your soul is divided into two

parts, the Ba and Ka when

you go to the afterlife. Ba

would watch over your

family while Ka goes to the

land of two fields to have

fun.
