Feast of the Sacred Heart 2017. Dear Friends in Christ, How quickly the year has passed already! The many activities here at Saint Loup has kept our little Community very busy. One of the outstanding events was the Monastic Profession of our Nigerian born Sr M Brigid, which took place in the 21 March- the Feast of the Passover of St Benedict. It is well remembered by our Congregation of the First Profession of Sr Brigid three years ago when well over two thousand people attended the Ceremony! However, the turnout for Sr Brigid’s Monastic Profession was smaller and friends from all over France, England, Germany and Nigeria came for the joyful occasion. Bishop Joseph de Metz-Noblat presided with 13 Priests and a Deacon- squeezed into our little Sanctuary. As Sr Brigid sang the Suscipe, “Uphold me Lord ,according to Your promise and I shall live; let my hope in You not be in vain.”(ps.118) After the Ceremony the celebrations continued for our new Mother Mary Brigid who was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the gift of her vocation as the spouse of Christ! Her joy was felt by everyone who saw her When she sang with her Nigerian friends and family at the reception. Now Mother Brigid looks taller in her white cowl, and her smile is still reflected on her face as she begins this next phase of her Monastic journey! Dear Friends in Christ,
How quickly the year has passed already! The many activities here at Saint
Loup has kept our little Community very busy. One of the outstanding
events was the Monastic Profession of our Nigerian born Sr M Brigid, which
took place in the 21 March- the Feast of the Passover of St Benedict. It is well

The account of baby Anna
Grace Adele Meloni
You will remember last year in
December of 2016 our dear Mother
Foundress-Marie Adele Garnier was
declared a Servant of God. The process
for her Canonisation has already
commenced and many people coming
forward with their testimonies of the
favours they have received through
Marie Adele’s intercession. Here is one
such recent account by Rev Mother Xavier about the Meloni family :
-‘ Sara had related to me the long story of what the doctors had described as a
hopeless case, and their advice to give up the idea of having a family, and to
concentrate on developing her other many gifts and talents instead and she would find
peace….Then she decided to visit me ( at Tyburn Convent) with her much loved
grandmother. They both related to me in great detail just how empty Sara’s life was becoming….So we agreed there
and then to visit the tomb of our Foundress Marie Adele Garnier. We prayed the official prayer for Mother Foundress’
canonisation, and after that Sara knelt down before Mother’s tomb and prayed silently for a long time. She was in
tears when she stood up and told us that she felt the close, motherly presence of our Mother Marie-Adele.’
Sara returned home with some hope in her heart that God would help her. Mother
Xavier continues ‘ Imagine my delight and joy when Sara telephoned me after a week
or so, to let me know that her doctor gave her the results of a test he had just done.
“He tells me the results are positive and I am pregnant. Thank you so much
Mother!” With great joy I promised her my continuing prayer through Mother Marie-
Adele, our Foundress.
Anna Grace ADELE Meloni was born 9th January 2017- a day of immense joy for the
entire Meloni Family! Thanks be to God! On 9th April baby Anna Grace Adele was
baptised , which she thoroughly enjoyed, waving her little hands with joy when she
was anointed with the Sacred Oils. After the ceremony, baby Anna
seemed to want to be held by Rev Mother Xavier, stretching out
her little arms to Mother Xavier. Then when a large picture of
Mother foundress was shown to baby Anna, her eyes became fixed
on the photo and was happily smiling and waving her little hand to
the picture. (see above photo). Sara said-
“It is as if wee Adele (Anna) already knows Mother Marie
Adele and that indeed it was Mother Marie Adele who was
instrumental in bringing wee Adele to birth.”
AMEN! ALLELUIA!

THE BIRTHPLACE OF MOTHER FOUNDRESS-
SERVANT OF GOD
- MARIE ADELE GARNIER
We have wonderful news to share with you!!! As
everyone knows, the Cause of our saintly Mother
Foundress -the Servant of God, Marie Adele Garnier- was
officially opened last December 2016. It was during this
event that Very Rev Mother General was told that the
house of Marie-Adele’s birthplace was up for sale at Grancey le Chateau!! You can imagine our excitement when we
heard of this! A miracle! - but there was one minor problem: money!
Almost immediately each of our Monasteries around the world began to
storm Heaven with prayers, and word was circulated among our
benefactors and friends to help us bring about this miracle! No one ever
thought that purchasing the birthplace of our Mother Foundress would
ever be possible! Last year during the General Chapter we had visited
Mother Foundress’ house and we could only stand outside as it belonged to
somebody else. Who would have thought that it would soon be ours!
Within a very short space of time the money was raised- a sign to us that it
was the Will of God- and the purchase of the little house went through on 8
March 2017. A great day for rejoicing!!! May God bless all our benefactors
and we shall always pray for them!
Years ago the House of Marie-Adele had been used by the local Police and
recently as a tourist information centre. Very Rev Mother General -Mother
Marilla (Aw) said that “the construction of a chapel in the house …is
significant for us as a Congregation but also crucial now when her Cause
for Canonisation has just opened”. Even the Archbishop Dijon was keen on
the idea of a new chapel/sanctuary to be built at the House also saying in
his letter “ The Diocese of Dijon rejoices at seeing the rise of Grancey-le-
