The AcademyThe Revolution Racing Academy based in Mooresville, NC is NASCAR’s premier driver and pit crew development academy. The academy’s mission is to create the ideal training and educational environment for drivers and pit crew athletes aspiring to pursue a career in motor sports. Revolution Racing Academy’s philosophy is based on preparing athletes for sport and life itself through exceptional educational and athletic training. Revolution Racing Academy has the most unique and comprehensive training and development in the sport. Our training platform includes programs that range in length from Full-Time, Weekly, and Summer Camps, as well as various specialized training programs custom designed to meet the athlete’s needs. Our training platform provides the tools to equip athletes to compete at the highest level. Need to reword and elaborate on this… “life itself”. The TeamRevolution Racing, a NASCAR sanctioned team, supplements the on-going training of the Revolution Racing Academy by providing a competition platform. Revolution Racing fields Full-Time academy drivers in late model stocks competing in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, as well as a youth racing team that competes in Bandoleros and Legends.

The 3 Day CampOur driver training is divided into three specific areas: • Instructor-led training and

The Management Team

The Revolution Racing staff is comprised of some of the industry’s most accomplished and experienced professionals.

Max Siegel, CEOMax was formerly the President of Global Operations at Dale Earnhardt Inc., where he made history as the highest-ranking African American executive in NASCAR. As one of the most influential executives in the entertainment and sports industries, he oversaw the entire organization including competition, marketing, sales, sponsorship and distribution for all DEI’s properties including motorsports teams, licensing, promotion, business development and the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.

John Story, PresidentJohn has spent his entire career in sports marketing, management and communications, most recently as vice president of motorsports for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Prior to joining DEI, he was the CEO and general manager of Robby Gordon Motorsports and has worked for several of sports and entertainments biggest brands including The PGA of America, Walt Disney World, International Speedway Corporation and Greg Norman’s Great White Shark Enterprises.

Andy Santerre, Director of CompetitionAndy Santerre is the one of the most recognizable and reputable names in NASCAR. Santerre, a Cherryfield, Maine native, began his racing career behind the wheel. He was successful – becoming the first NASCAR K&N Pro Series driver to win four-consecutive championships (2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005). Santerre also earned a series-leading four Most Popular Driver awards (1994, 2002, 2003 and 2005) and two Sportsmanship awards (2003 and 2004). He earned Rookie of the Year awards in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series (1993) and the NASCAR Nationwide Series (1998). Santerre has 25-career wins and has won in every major series he has competed in, including the highly competitive NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Blair Addis, Director of CompetitionAddis competed in Street Stocks and then to Late Models, winning rookie of the year honors. In 2005, Addis took home the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track championship at Greenville Pickens Speedway. The following season he ventured into the NASCAR Camping World Series East and the UARA Late Model Series before stepping out from behind the wheel to focus on team ownership and driver development.

Phil Horton, Pit Crew Coach / Strength & ConditioningPhil Horton is the pit crew coach for the Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development program presented by Sprint, as well as the strength and conditioning coach for Revolution Racing. Horton got his start in NASCAR as a personal trainer for former driver Ernie Irvin. Horton’s clientele soon broadened to include pit crew athletes, as well as eight other NASCAR drivers and 12 race teams such as Chip Ganassi Racing, Gemain Racing, Furniture Row Racing among others over the span of seven years.
