She was told she needed surgery

The Cyclops watched her, looking for her weakness

It sounded serious, and she could only trust Athena to calm her

On that day of her surgery, she was in the waiting room, impatient

and nervous

Ready for Poseidon to launch tears down her cheeks, she held her face in her hands

The surgeon came in and told her they were ready to start the

procedure

The Lotus Eaters were tempting her to turn around and run

Even though she wanted to run, she knew she had no choice but to go through with the surgery

She walked in, and saw very sharp tools and many people in black doctor

uniforms

After she received laughing gas, an anesthesiologist shoved

a needle into her arm

She wanted to scream of the pain of the needle; Zeus had to

be against her

Before she knew it, she was awake, as if it had all been a

bad dream

The nurse, told her it had all gone over well, but to stay awake

The girl was taken to her family, and she knew that she was safe

She realized one of her fearful journeys in life was over
