Just over a year has passed since Parkinson Society Canada launched the National Ambassador program in September 2014, during our SuperWalk event. A lot has been achieved since then, and it is all thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Parkinson’s Ambassadors.

Leading up to the federal election in October, our Ambassadors were out in full force, ensuring that Parkinson’s voice was heard nationwide. With well over 90 touchpoints of community engagement, and growing from about 60 Ontario-based Ambassadors to well over 160 across the country, the National Ambassador Network has made incredible progress in its first year.

Parkinson Society Canada would like to thank all of our Ambassadors for their exceptional work and dedication this year. With a new federal government comes a host of new opportunities to move Parkinson’s issues

forward. It is very important that we continue to build on the local relationships our Ambassadors have worked so very hard to foster throughout the year. Parkinson Society Canada looks forward to working with our Ambassadors in 2016 to build on this momentum and see what we can accomplish in the year to come.
