Instructions to ProgramParticipants

Session Time Allocations: Eachpresenter will have total of 30minutes and they should take nomore than 20 minutes forpresentation. Each Discussantshould take no more than 5minutes. The remaining timeshould be devoted to opendiscussion.

Session Chairs: Assume overallresponsibility for your session.Make an effort to contact the sessionparticipants before the meeting.Inform them that each presentationroom will be equipped with anoverhead projector and flipchart.Ask them if they have any specialneeds relating to their presentationand/or discussion and, incollaboration with the registrationdesk, try to satisfy those needs.Arrive at the session room 10minutes in advance and make surethat it is properly equipped.Welcome and introduce theparticipants. Start the session ontime and adhere to the timeschedule. Discussants shouldfollow presenters. Moderate theopen discussion to the best of yourability.

Presenters: Stay within the allottedtime even though it may not beenough! Be well prepared. Pleasedo not just read your paper. Yourpresentation of main points,methods, and conclusions shouldlead to a fruitful discussion duringand after the session. Bring with youand make available several copiesof your manuscript. For audio-visual equipment other thanoverhead projectors which will beprovided in all meeting roomsplease contact me atleast one monthbefore conference. ALLARRANGEMENTS AND COSTS FORSUCH EQUIPMENT ARE YOURRESPONSIBILITY.
