(ITCA), Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Region 8. AICOA meets on a quarterly basis to review, advise, recommend, and advocate for services provided through the Older Americans Act. This year, AICOA and ITCA-AAA invite you to be a part of the 25th Annual AICOA Conference experience.

The conference attracts more than 600 participants every year. The conference is designed for elders age 55 and over, individuals with disabilities, aging service providers, informal and formal caregivers, volunteers, advocates and human services providers within Arizona tribal communities.

Education & AdvocacyThe conference will provide up to date information and education on issues facing American Indian elders, disabled adults, and caregivers. Over 60 workshops will be presented by service providers with knowledge and experience in elder issues revolving around health, nutrition, in-home care, transportation, disease prevention, long term care, employment, financial assistance, and much more. Daily general sessions will address current elder issues with advocacy tips given by Keynote Speakers who are leaders and advocates for American Indian Communities.

Elder & Sponsorship Recognition LuncheonA luncheon will be provided to honor and recognize advocates with awards for: Elder Advocate of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Elderly Services Program Staff Member of the Year, Elderly Services Program of the Year, and AICOA Member of the Year. Sponsors will also be recognized in our conference material for their contribution and support to make this conference a success.

Senior GamesThe ever popular Senior Games feature both individual and team events. The purpose of the Senior Games is to encourage and motivate seniors to exercise and increase their activity. It is also an opportunity for a fun and safe individual, adaptive and team competition. Past games have included: Obstacle Course, Basketball Throw, Lawn Bowling, Chair Volleyball, Aerobic Dance and the Rubber Chicken Throw.

Sponsorship OpportunitiesAICOA is seeking donations from interested tribes, businesses and individuals that will sponsor:

• Audio and visual aids to provide quality presentations for workshops and general sessions;• Recognition awards, medals and trophies to recognize individual and team achievements;• Conference souvenirs to remind participants of their wonderful experience;• Nutritional meals and snacks to revitalize participants throughout the conference; and• Travel accommodations for Keynote Speakers of the Opening and Closing Sessions
