What is STaR Chart? School Technology and Readiness STaR Chart is a teacher tool for planning &

self-assessing. STaR Chart is aligned with the Texas Long-

Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2020 STaR Chart has four areas:

Teaching & Learning Educator Preparation & Instructional Support Leadership, Administration, & Instructional Support Infrastructure for Technology

How does STaR Chart Evaluate?

There are 4 different levels of progress: Early Tech Developing Tech Advanced Tech Target Tech

All Texas Teachers must complete annually the STaR Chart.

All Texas Campus status is a STaR Chart profile. All Texas Campus must:

• Be mandated by NLCB

• Must be completed to apply for federal technology grants.

All Texas Teahers should:• Integrate technology across the curriculum

• Be technology literate
