Year One News—This term has flown by at a rapid pace.
Currently, Year One is completing work in Science, Art and
English. In Science, we have explored ‘Changes Around Me’. We
can now identify natural, managed and built environments. As a
culmination, we are constructing a diorama of an environment. In
Art, we have created different Australian landscapes for the
upcoming Texas State School Art Exhibition. In English, we are
rehearsing our retells of Aboriginal Dreamtime stories. We hope
that everyone has a happy and safe holiday.

A place where asking the question “Are you OK?” can really work. Anyone can do it, staff, parents, students;
we can all create a culture where people feel confident asking and answering this simple yet important
question. Because it is ok to not be ok! These conversations can make a real difference to anyone going
through a tough time, especially now with the drought, fires and the floods to come.
If you really want to make a difference, we need your help to champion the message in your workplace, school
The van will not be coming to Texas now due to being diverted to the bush fire affected areas, they hope to have Texas back on their itinerary soon and will let us know when that will be.
