This month we will be celebrating with our students who will become Bar/Bat Mitzvah in 2015 and have just received their dates. On Thursday, January 10 at 6 p.m. we will throw a dinner party to celebrate with our families. We will teach them about the special parashah that will be theirs, we will introduce them to the synagogue personnel who will guide them on their journey, and we will help them start to think about what it means to become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

Art And Cultural Arts

The role of the Goldsmith Museum Committee was expanded last year to include responsibility

for developing and promoting the full scope of cultural arts at Chizuk Amuno Congregation. Our goal is to provide opportunities to make a connection between Jewish life and the arts, including music, visual arts, theater, and dance.

Following on the success of our Loring Cornish exhibit last spring, we are pleased to announce two outstanding programs this coming year.

• Sunday, January 6: World-renowned choreographer Liz Lerman will lead workshops exploring Worship through Dance.
