Bill was raised by Grandfather James Shannon after his mother was killed.
On July 28, 1993, Bill and Greg were normal kids until
The monsters came and took them.
Bill survived.
Greg did not.
Bill rejected God and the Bible. He ran away to fight the war.
He and his platoon were fine until
Bill survived and they did not.
Bill returns to New York with an ability to see the very things he denies. A guy named Nick will not leave him alone.

Bill is confronted by a street preacher, but he does not listen.
Bill is beaten by thugs that looked like demons.
He finds himself in a homeless shelter where Nick tells him of a journey.
Bill ends up going with Nick, Mo, and Pete to New Hope, Tennessee.
On this journey to Christianity, Bill meets another, a preacher with his ability of sight,
Clifton Trull, a new Christian,
Old Cecil, who has a connection to Grandfather James Shannon, and
claims to have an angel named Rufus by his side,
,the girl he falls in love with,
A very real Satan…
