•  Title I - $14.5 billion •  Preschool for All initiative – $75  billion  over  10  years  – $750  million  in  discreTonary  Preschool  Development  Grants  

•  Title III - $732 million

$71 billion total –increase of $3 billion from FY2013

•  K-12 Reform – Teachers and Leaders – $5  billion  for  RESPECT  grants  – 25%  set-­‐aside  within  EffecTve  Teachers  and  Leaders  State  Grants    

– $98  million  in  the  School  Leadership  Grant  Program  

– $400  million  for  the  Teacher  and  Leader  InnovaTon  Fund    

– $190  million  in  mandatory  funds  for  PresidenTal  Teaching  Fellows

•  HR 5- Student Success Act – Provides  addiTonal  flexibility  on  Tming  of  tests  in  English  

– Combines  Title  III  into  a  sub-­‐part  of  Title  I  – Allows  pooling  of  federal  resources  – Reduce  support  for  teacher  quality  and  professional  development

•  S 1049 – Strengthen America’s Schools Act –  Require  Title  I  schools  to  establish  at  least  4  levels  of  English  language  proficiency  for  ELLs  

–  Up  to  5  years  of  language  support  services  –  Increase  to  10%  of  Title  III  funds  for  state  acTviTes  –  English  Language  AcquisiTon  Technology  InnovaTon  Grants  

–  Commission  on  Assessment  of  English  Learners
