Central Concepts: Engineering design involves practical problem solving,

research, development, and invention/innovation, and requires

designing, drawing, building, testing, and redesigning. Students should demonstrate the ability to use the

engineering design process to solve a problem or meet a challenge.

Research the problem

Examine the current state of the issues and current solutions. After looking around on Google I have decided to go with a somewhat sophisticated, but affordable design.

Rendering of Design

I chose the design on the right from the last slide, and continually improved it to get it to look like what it does. So far, the chair is capable of going up and down, but it is eventually going to spin, and tilt back.

Brazil™ RenderingBrazil™ RenderingThis Rendering was done is Brazil™. It’s a high quality rendering software, but I haven’t learned how to put materials on items in Brazil™. There is a decal on the paper, and the floor is carpet material. The table is a wood material, but it is difficult to tell from this rendering,
