Relieving Principal’s News
I would like to thank all students and families
for their sensible responses to what is
happening in Australia at the moment. Every
day we are receiving emails of updates from
the Department of Education. The health of
our community is our priority and I thank the
staff for all their extra efforts in keeping MPS
organised, calm, and a safe place to be.
Regular updates are placed on the schools
Facebook page. If you are having trouble
accessing this information could you please
contact the school ASAP. It is important that
this information is viewed by families as
sometimes there are regular updates from the
school or uploaded by the DoE. Any other
information that is needing to be
communicated will be sent home by
newsletter or school letter.
Students learning at school has continued as
normal. If any future changes occur such as
student absence or school closure, staff are
already organised with learning for your
child/ren to continue at home. Unfortunately
some of your child’s favourite events may have
been cancelled or postponed. We understand
this can be upsetting so please take the time
to talk and interact with your child/ren with
how they are feeling at this present time.
This Friday we will be participating in ‘Harmony
Day’ activities. We encourage students to wear
a touch of orange, for example an orange t-
shirt, ribbon etc. to recognise this important
event.
Many thanks,
Kerri McPherson

“When children read to a dog, the outcomes are amazing! It is a non-judgemental setting, the children's focus improves, their literacy skills increase and their confidence soars. The accepting, loving nature of dogs helps children relax, open up, try harder and have fun while reading to a friendly, calm dog.”

Sea”. - The morning is filled with lots of
stories, songs and finishing up with a craft

welcome any new families to join us. Then
on Friday, 27th March Story time will be
held at the Ganmain Hall from 10.30am.

Lego Club
Lego club has commenced again for
another year, it is held every Wednesday
afternoons from 4.00pm – 5.00pm and
Saturday mornings from 10.30am –
11.30am. The aim of the Lego Club
program is for children to have fun, learn
to communicate with others and to
develop problem-solving skills. This is a free
program and is being offered to children

Family History Group
The family history group will be meeting at
the Library on the Saturday, 28th March
from 10.30am. Everyone is most
welcomed to attend.
The P&C are holding a pie drive as a fundraiser. Pie
drives are a great way to raise funds, with minimal
outlay and not too much hard work...and everyone
loves a Ganmain Pie! The idea behind it is to
purchase the pies at wholesale price and the P & C
then makes a profit on the difference between the
wholesale and retail prices.
We have attached an order form and are
encouraging you to ‘think big’ with your order and
broaden the people you ask. Some examples are:
family members
next door neighbours
friends
work colleagues
We will need helpers to pack the pies on the delivery
day. You will be reminded of this closer to the date.
