Welcome to the New School

Year

Welcome to all our new students and their families and welcome back to all those who were already a part of our wonderful school community. We are looking forward to a successful and productive year ahead.

Welcome to Kindergarten

Students

Kindergarten students started today after their Best Start assessments this week. I’m sure they are very excited to start school and we are just as excited to welcome them.

School Staff

Our returning students quickly settled into their new classes and our Kindergarten students had a great start today. Staff roles are:

Mr Watt 5/6W

I will be in the Learning Support and RFF roles, including Library.

Our support staff are:

Mrs Thompson (School Admin Manager), Mrs McMahon (School Admin Officer), Mrs Mazengarb and Mrs Muller (School Learning Support Officers) and Mr Kupfer (General Assistant).

Small Schools (FISST) Swimming Carnival

The FISST Swimming Carnival will be held on

Tuesday, 14/2/17 at Bomaderry Pool for all

Primary students (Years 3—6). Notes will be

sent home on Monday advising of details and

costs.

Dental Van Visit

Future Care Mobile Dental Services offer mobile

dental services to students under the Child

Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). This service

is bulk-billed to eligible students and performed

on-site at the school.

Upon receiving written consent from parents,

they provide dental health education, oral

examinations, teeth cleaning and if applicable,

fillings (after obtaining further consent from

parents).

If you would like your child to be included in this

program, please complete the permission form

accompanying this newsletter and return it to

school by Friday, 17/2/17. Students who do not

return a permission form will not visit the dental

van.

Terara PS is now using lemontree. This is an

app for mobile phones and devices to help us

keep in touch. We’ll send you out events,

notices and newsletters through the lemontree

app. You can submit absences and update your

personal details to allow us to update our

Community Notices

Bomaderry Junior Rugby League Football Club

Registration Days 2017

Registration will be held on Saturday 4th February,

2017 10.00am— 1.00pm, Tuesday, 21st through to

Friday, 24th February, 4.00pm—6.00pm at the

Bomaderry Sporting Complex. The club will be

entering teams from the Under 6’s—Under 16’s

and also the newly formed Girls League Tag

teams, Under 12, Under 14 & 16 Years of age.

Also 2 womens tackles teams in the Illawarra
