Dynamic ScrubberOptimal solutions for Air Environmental Control
TENOVA TAKRAF DYNAMIC SCRUBBER
Tenova TAKRAF offers four in-house scrubber designs, with the most widely used being the Dynamic Scrubber. The Dynamic Scrubber offers > 99.5 % dust collectionefficiency in the 1 – 2 µ range @ 1.5 kPa pressure loss.It is ideally suited to general dust collection on mediumto high dust loads.
ADVANTAGES
n Proven design.n Very low cost for high efficiency.n High energy efficiency.n Integral self-cleaning fan.n Low maintenance.n Low water consumption.
Dust-laden air enters the Dynamic Scrubber tangentially, forcing heavier dust particles into the swirling water andout via the slurry outlet. Lighter dust particles move through the impingementvane, with the air stream providing an increased wettedsurface area for particle impingement. Intermediate sizeparticles are collected here, then flushed through thevanes and out via the slurry outlet. The air is essentially free of dust particles at this stageand is drawn into the interconnecting fan duct withsufficient liquid to flush clean these internal surfaces.Scrubbing liquid is introduced into the eye of the radial-bladed fan, causing complete flush cleaning of the internalsurfaces of the fan.
Fine dust particles are then captured by turbulent mixingof the liquid and air, the impact of rotating wetted bladesand dynamic forces due to high tip speeds, causingimpingement of dust particles on the moving layer ofwater. At the water elimination stage, the collected clean air anddust / liquid mixture discharges tangentially into thedroplet separator, where cyclonic action causes separa-tion of the slurry from the clean air. Liquid droplets arecentrifuged against the scrubber walls to dischargethrough an internal cone to the slurry outlet. The cleanair, free of liquid droplets, is discharged vertically throughthe scrubber stack outlet.
