Their goal was to set the new standard for pre-mium connections across awide range of applications for the complex service condi-tions encountered in today’sadvanced drilling practices.

The design team shares a de-tailed knowledge of premiumconnection technology resul-ting from the development, useand evaluation of our widerange of proprietary premiumconnections. They utilize ourintegrated network of speciali-zed laboratories, each fullyequipped with state-of-the-artfacilities for Finite ElementAnalysis (FEA) and Full-ScaleTesting (FST) evaluation ofOCTG connections under

Superior performance

The unique design ofTenarisBlue® delivers superiorperformance even under themost demanding of opera-tional conditions. It satisfiesthe Level IV connection appli-cation under ISO 13679. In addition, TenarisBlue® hasbeen designed to be easy touse and re-use, with simpli-fied stabbing and gall-freemake-and-break, as well as toreduce environmental impactthrough avoiding the need touse thread dope lubricants.

• Optimum sealability: undercombined loading condi-tions including tension,compression and bendingfor internal and externalpressure.

• High compression capacity:

structural integrity and sealresponse is maintained aftermultiple high tension/com-pression cycles.

• Good overtorque capacity:

particularly apt for linerapplications when stringrotation with compressionis expected.
