TEMPLATE AND INSTRUCTIONS TEACHING PORTFOLIO Academic Staff Organisational Change Instructions Page 1 of 2 Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics Introduction This document contains instructions and a template for completing a Teaching Portfolio as part of the Academic Organisational Change Implementation in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics. Instructions for completion To obtain a score in the ranking process for the Teaching Portfolio aspect of the Teaching Category, you must submit a Teaching Portfolio. This statement will be assessed by the Dean to award you a score for the Teaching Portfolio component in the Teaching Category. Preparing Teaching Portfolio In preparing the Teaching Portfolio, you are encouraged to have regard to each of the following Areas of Activity from the Teaching Criteria Framework used in the promotion and tenure, and PDR processes: 1. Design and planning of learning activities and/or programmes of study 2. Teaching and supporting student learning 3. Assessment and giving feedback to learners 4. Developing effective environments and student support and guidance 5. Integration of scholarship, research and professional activities with teaching and supporting learning 6. Evaluation of practice and continuing professional development You are asked to provide evidence which demonstrates achievement in each of these Areas of Activity, relative to your academic level. Examples of sources and types of evidence that may be used in each area of activity are available at http://www.catl.uwa.edu.au/tcf/the_framework.
