How to start NSP

• Open your Web browser and type in the following location : http://<nsp_server_IP_address>:7001/nsp

• Enter your login and password and press OK:

• Force Refresh :

Go to Tools Internet Options Select General Tab

Click on Settings button Select Every visit to the page Click OK

Click OK on Internet Options window

• Auto resize pop-up windows : Go to Tools Internet Options Select Security Tab

Select Internet zone Click on Custom level…

Set to ‘enable’ the following parameter:

Allow script-initiated windows without size or position constraint.

Click OK

Set the display of the different time related formats

for all the tools

Choose the current time zone

• The different authorized values

For the “Date format”, “Time format” and “Date and Time field” fields, you can use and combine the following values :

- yy or yyyy : Year (number) - dd : Day in month (number)

- MM or MMMM : Month in year (respectively number or string) - aa : AM/PM marker (string)

- HH : Hour in day (0-23) - hh :

Hour in AM/PM (1-12) - mm :

Minutes in hour (number) - ss :

Seconds in minute (number)

The button Properties gives the information related to the selected session.

• Warning :Those 3 directories must exist on server side. No check is done by application. It is user’s responsibility to do so.

Check this to enable the translation of the different numerical values to explicit text values

Notes

• Translate ENUM values :This option is checked by default and translates numerical values to explicit text values, much more understandable.

For example, the field “WAY” will be incoming and outgoing instead of 0 and 1.

Choose between Hexadecimal and Decimal display

Check this to enable the splitting of the Point Codes display

Choose the separation character when the Point Codes

are split

Select the size of each group of bits when the Point Codes are split

Notes

• Bit groups :

When “Split format” is checked, the Point Codes are split in bit groups. The Point Code are written on 14 bits in ETSI and 24 bits in ANSI, so be careful about the total of bits in the different bit groups. For example, here 3 + 8 + 3 = 14, so it is good for ETSI Point Codes.

• CIC tab (Circuit Identification Code)

Choose between Hexadecimal and Decimal display

Check this to enable the splitting of the CIC display

Choose a the separation character when the CIC are split

Choose a color for each alarm

Select how many records you want per page

Select which tab is displayed first

Auto Popup a comment window when the user terminates an alarm

Choose whether you want auto refresh of the list, and define the refresh interval in seconds

• Colors :You can choose to define a color using :

- The hexadecimal format, starting with # and adding the RGB components (e.g. white is #FFFFFF) - The text format, by giving the name of the color : white, blue, pink, lightgreen, black,… - The defined colors, by clicking on, opening the following popup window :
