My paintings are the outcomes of a crisis driven by unlimited challenges of my surrounding. The basis of my work is to animate the non-organic elements which in their nature have a certain func-tion; but in fact bring forth a human identity. This assemblage goes as far as creating an instrumental human; a voiceless and lonely one in a surrounding full of sound and fury.
“In-Between” is a series of photos taken in different places near borders of Iran and resonates with ideas about displacement and imaginative geography. The central idea refers to personal experience of de-parture and returning to the country and the paradoxical state of living in a space in-between belonging and banishment, housed and un-housed and loss and presence. Photos are taken in a mosaic method and then assembled together to refer to the mental situation of fragmentation and dislocation. Some parts are missed through this process of deconstructing and constructing of the self.
Alireza Adambakan’s My Icons No.3 showcases the latest works from an ongoing project of distinctive urban scenes of mainly social, architectural, cultural, political and religious spaces in which interior worlds of personal symbolism are made exterior over layers and layers of mixed media on paper. In this new collection, he depicts the urban scenes dazed and disoriented in a bold and colorful palette to show everyday life and the changes that the city and its people have to go through on a daily basis from a subjective point of view.
My photography is dedicated to illuminating the unique untold stories . As a photographer, I try to draw attention to the little ornaments lost in this crazy world. I want to shed some light on what is normally forgotten because the world is flooded with hard news all the time. The things that I want to show have long been melted into the texture of a crowded world and I believe that we have to start seeing them once more.

Solo ExhibitionNegar VarastehTitle: Geometry of PerceptionOpening: November 30, 2012, 3-9 PM
Mirror is a metaphor for light and lucidity. The geometrical cuts that are achieved using diamond – one of the purest of substances- reduces from the homogeneity of the surface, but it accentuates the glitter ten folds. Once you immerse in this radiance and glow, it appears as if you have reached the other side, for this perception you need to believe in light.

“Myths are not just mediums to represent human’s opinions about the fundamental meaning of life; they are a set of regulations based on which human beings live and can be justifications for societies. The schema on which a society is founded obtains its value through mythical images.”

It was an autumn night, around midnight. After spending a day in galleries I was on my way homefrom the Mahtab Cafe .̀I got onto a bus which had a few passengers and I sat on the last seat, and started looking at thepassengers of whom I just could see their back of their heads. Some of them had fallen asleep, some were looking out and two of them were talking together.I believe it’s really superb that you are able to watch people who have no control on you.Bydoing this you can probe into their character, think, search and analyse them.Actually it’s like anindividual and shallow search which could be transformed to a collective and deep one. A lighting-flash — then night! (Charles Baudelaire, Fleurs de Mal)
Space and matter are nothing but two binding elements of a sole universe and the truth relating to it, a truth that for a moment unveils the illusory existence of the world. Reality and illusion are not the attributes of the material world, yet concepts which are perceived from a personal and self-conscious perspective. On the oth-er hand the creation of art springs from the unconscious, starting with an appropriate distancing one self from any kind of definition. This series is the outcome of a conscious lingering within the realm of the unconscious.Ashkan AbdoliNovember 2012
Group Painting ExhibitionMahboobe Noroozi & Hamid Hadinejad Title: In the Warp and Woof of DrawingOpening: November 30, 2012, 4 – 8 PM End: December 10, 2012The Gallery is closed on 7th December 2012
The drawing and the pain of its representation out of perceptions create a wonderful set of institutionalizing subjective inquiry and sensory potentiality. Pictorial reservoir is originated and constructed out of deposited sensory perceptions and the structural capability of reflection. This construction is in line with institutionalizing the artist’s beliefs in surroundings. The significance of the process lies in organizing and engi-neering an object out of which insight is produced.

Curves are inherent characteristic of Nature that cannot be depicted easily. Neither can one apply the essential synchronism or organize the curves in space in order to acquire the ideal visual architectural appearance.
During the past decades, we have encountered a wave of artworks that have portrayed women in contemporary Iran. Shadi Noyani, a female artist, has curated this exhibition called "A Man" that is neither in praise of men nor in their reproach.

It’s with us, it’s following us and it always has been. It has penetrated our minds and our beliefs. It has dominated us and has invaded our willpower. It is the sorrow of our happiness and it leaves us happy with our sorrows.
