Bringing together luminaries and adventurers, scientists, artists and business leaders, TEDxWarsaw has become a leading multidiciplinary conference in this country and a forum for the exchange of inspiration and ideas for a large audience of guests and viewers of the live stream. We are one of the largest and most diverse TEDx events in the world, and also a part of a rapidly growing international community.

EVERY MARCH SINCE 2010 WARSAW HAS BEEN HOST TO AN INDEPENDENTLY ORGANISED TED EVENT, TEDxWARSAW.

WHAT IS TED

IdeasWorth Spreading

TED is a platform for propagating ideas which can change the world and an international project with the strong authority and established reputation of a regular high profile event. Conferences take place once a year in Long Beach, with additional events worldwide, and talks are available on line.

Currently over 1000 TEDTalks are available on line and they have been viewed over a billion times. Among the speakers you can find such well known people as Al Gore, Bill Gates, Sheryl Sandberg, Sir Richard Branson, Isabel Allende, and Philip Zimbardo.

WHAT IS TED

WHAT IS TEDx WarsawThe first and still the biggest TEDx event in Poland. We follow the TED format closely and provide a consistently high quality, engaging, inspiring roster of speakers. The event is free but the audience is carefully selected to ensure a broad mix of professions and ages.

TEDxWarsaw 2013 is our fourth big conference (we have had a total of eight, including the one off TEDxWomenWarsaw and TEDxWulkan as well as the regular TEDxYouth@Warsaw.) By the time this year’s conference is finished, we will have had well over a hundred speakers over all of the editions in aggregate. They have included journalist Edwin Bendyk, actress and philanthropist Anna Dymna, chef Karol Okrasa, economist Krzysztof Rybinski, photographer Tomek Sikora, MEP Rafal Trzaskowski, architect Mark Krawczynski and psychotherapist Wojciech Eichelberger. They will have presented their ideas to a combined audience of over three thousand and a live stream audience which will have generated well in excess of a million server hits in aggregate.

We have grown from a small event held at Warsaw University’s Old Library to a major get together for the city’s, and region’s, visionaries and passionates, organised in the country’s largest cinema hall. The same team has been producing the event since the beginning. In October 2012, with the aim of engaging our community in the periods between the main events, we began a regular, informal get-together: TEDxWarsawSalon.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a programme called TEDx: local, self-organised events which bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDxWarsaw, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connections in the group, and speakers are en couraged to mingle, connect and engage with the audience. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx programme, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
