DYNA

MISM

: 5/5

The reason I am giving Amy a 5 is because she connects with the audience in a way that makes you feel like nothing can stop you from doing what you want to do. She is energetic on stage, gets emotional, tells jokes, and motivates the hell out of anyone.

Amy did a wonderful job of following Garr Reynolds tips to a great presentation

and by following this simple phrase “Keep It Simple.” In her speech she had a few pictures right when they were needed to show how and what was going on at that time in her life.

What I learned from Amy Purdy is that just because life throws a kink into what or how you thought it was going to end up you can always achieve your dreams and don’t give up. Once you hit what you thought was the end get the courage and break

through any and all OBSTACLES.

I believe that there are some key differences in the way these two speakers present. Ken likes to tell jokes and be more informative on his thoughts. Amy has passion and gives you motivation to do things that you would never have thought you could do.

One thing I can tell students for their upcoming speeches is to always be prepared. If you go into the speech knowing what’s coming you will do just fine.
