SUBMARINE - ROBOSUB NOTESRobosub is a model submarine which automatically dives to a preset depth and then cruises underwater. The submarine is built from readily available parts including plastic drink bottles for the hull. A constant depth is maintained by a paddle which controls the front hydroplanes. Initially the hydroplanes are angled down to cause the submarine to dive. When the submarine is deep enough for the paddle to enter the water the water pressure forces the paddle back which turns the hydroplanes up bringing the submarine back towards the surface.
