Introduction

One of the greatest technological developments in modern history is the origination of the Internet.

Some examples include online reservations for trains, airplanes, and other modes of transportation, online movies, matches, concert tickets, etc.

Technology enables us to prevent further degradation of the environment. Thus by using the internet we can adopt an eco-friendly approach to our life!

How it works!!!

Online and Mobile Systems work by using “interconnected networks”, or internet.

The Internet can be accessed almost anywhere by numerous means, including through mobile Internet devices.

By using these online systems, we can save approximately $400 billion dollars in our country, which is about ¼ the size of the national GDP!

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is a general term for anything that involves delivering hosted services over the Internet.

How it helps environment:

It improves the system efficiency so electric consumption is reduced and less number of systems are needed.

Cloud computing helps in social connect.

By using the cloud computing concept a person can work from home. This saves on fuel and infrastructure.

Page 28: Technology for the Environment

Big enterprises can save up to 30% of the carbon emission and small enterprises can save up to 90% of carbon emission, if they use cloud computing.

Cloud computing saves 30-40% of the revenue required.

facebook.com, Microsoft azure and Google use cloud computing.

Conclusion

This project was made as a conscious effort to sensitize people, of the environmental damage that can be prevented, if we use computers and online and mobile system. There are a lot of other online system like e-newspaper, e-bussiness, e-mail, and lot more.

If we adopt the online and mobile system, we can save a lot of resources, money and time.

Thank You!
