Cellular Backhauling

In today’s world, citizens of all ages expect to be permanently connected using any communications device, and be able to interact via voice and data, no matter how remote their location may be. Many of these sites are not served by landlines or microwave systems. Providing network coverage in areas where usage can be unpredictable and irregular is an expensive challenge for network operators.

Advantech Wireless has implemented smarter solutions using cellular backhaul over satellites that can help such operators achieve their global reach by directing resources to where they are needed most. Advantech Wireless present various solutions for 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE cellular backhauling and maximum enhanced optimization with the VR7400-C, VR7400-E, and VR7400-CE VSAT Routers, all supporting A-SAT-II™ out of the box.

A-SAT-II™ provides the operator with total control over the access technology (waveforms) use; a site can be configured to work with either MF-TDMA, SCPC, or Advantech Wireless’ patented1 BM-FDMA which is tailored for cellular backhauling.

In addition, the A-SAT-II™ system’s, Artificial Intelligence triggers can automatically switch the waveforms to achieve maximum spectral efficiency, along with preconfigured and/or scheduled triggers for the operator manual intervention.

Terminal Redundancy

Network uptime is a critical focal point of any Cellular Operator. Many investment efforts are being covered in order to achieve the highest SLA and assured revenues, a lot of which are being focused on the eNodeB/BTS side.

Advantech Wireless are setting a new bar for availability and advanced redundancy feasibility, using LTR - Local Terminal Redundancy. The LTR features can operate in a one to one redundancy mode, which includes two VSAT Routers and two Transceivers, using one Antenna (other setups available).

LTR constantly monitors the critical inputs of the RF ODU and the VSAT Routers in order to rapidly switch Primary/Secondary role operations in case of any failure. This capability assures the integrity of the cellular network is maintained. Skilled with years of Cellular Backhauling experience, we’ve gathered the best set tools, technology, and features into a single uniform solution.
