Triple PlayIdeal Ages: 8 and upEquipment needed:Balls: 4-6 Cones:Goals 8:2 Players: 4-6Why: To develop dribbling, passing, and scoring.Setup: 2v2/3v3. Space: Approx: 25x15Progression of activity:
1. Players are given three methods of scoring: 1) Dribble into endzone; 2) Pass into teammate running into endzone; 3) Score a goal. Doesn’t have to be in that order. First team to score all three ways wins.
2. One team has to score in a specific order but is different from the other team.
Last Player BackIdeal Ages: 9-18Equipment needed:Balls: 4-6 Cones:Goals 4:2 (Flags) Players: 4-10 Why: To develop dribbling to set up a teammate, introduction to combination play. Setup: Two teams. Flag Goals preferredProgression of activity:
1. Play 2v2-4v4
2. The defending team has to always send someone to play in goal. When the defending team wins the ball they come out and join their team on attack.

Equipment needed:Balls: 4-5 Cones:Goals 4:2 Players: 8-10Why: To work on dribbling, defending, passing, scoringSetup: Two teams. Start off 1v1. When player passes to team-mate they dribble on. Oppoent also adds player. Whenever attacker passes to teammate they dribble on field. The team that scores 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 win. Does not have to be in order. Progression of activity:1. Play 1v1 to 4v42. Start 4v4 then go down. Teams do not have to score in
order. 3. Start 1v1. When attacking team passes to teammate, op-
ponent adds two players.

Wall Pass GameIdeal Ages: 11 and olderEquipment needed:Balls: 4-6 Cones:Goals 4:0 Players: 10-18Why: To develop dribbling to set up a teammate, wall passes, defending when 1v2 Setup: Two teams. Progression of activity:
1. Teams attempt to wall pass around the other. When success-ful the player that got wall passed around is “out”. They can go back in when their team wall passes around the opponent.
2. Play to two small goals. Same rules as above.

“Hot Box”
Secret goals Ideal Ages: 11 and olderEquipment needed:Balls: 6-8 Cones:Goals 4:2 Players: 10-18Why: To work on dribbling to score, shooting, individual defendingSetup: Two teams. Each team is given three different ways to score. Neither team knows the sequence for the other team. Progression of activity:
1. Each team has to score in order: A) The 9 must score; B) a midfielder must score; C) They have to score with a ball that has been laid off or played back.
2. Same sequence as above except they don’t have to do it in order.
3. Allow the players to come up with the three different ways to score.
Ideal Ages: 11 and older
Equipment needed:Balls: 1-2 Cones:Goals 8:2 Players: 8-16Why: To work on accurate passing, dribbling in tight spaces, long passes Setup: Two teams. Make a 5x5-10x10 box with cones in mid-dle of field. The ball is not allowed to go in the hot box.
Progression of activity:1. Play 3v3-4v42. Same as above except allow the ball to go in the box but
it can’t stop.3. Same as above except play is 2 touch inside the box.
