• Gather the people who are not seeing “eye to eye” together and collaboratively work the issue out in a round-table discussion.

• Provide time in the work schedule to take structured breaks consisting of fun activities that make your staff interact with one another.

Why making sure you as the leader or you as the follower know your place in

the line of command is vital to team success.

As A Leader:

• You must listen to your downline organization’s concerns. They may have valid points that you’re not seeing that could really ELEVATE your success level. That doesn’t necessarily mean you are required to follow everything, you just need to listen.

• You’re the big drive behind a project. What kind of attitude are you setting up?

As A Follower:

• Don’t bring up every little thing that you don’t agree with or every little concern you have. It will drag the team momentum down. Pick and choose what will really benefit the team.

• Be sure that what you’re doing helps the leadership and the people on the team as well. Lighten the load.

As A Team:

• Unity is key. Not all people will end up completely satisfied all the time. That’s okay. But remember to take each person’s input and value it. Don’t overstep your boundaries on any level be it leadership or as a team player.

• Remember the GOAL.

• Have your team members set the goal the repeat it verbally daily.

• Have 20-30 minute morning dream talks. Check in on the team’s progress, and let it wander into personal territory, then once again, wrap up with a reiteration of the “big vision.”

• Quietly help them learn to properly initiate investigating new ideas without getting confrontational.
