About TEAMS

TEAMS (The Education Assets Management

System) is a cloud-based offering for sharing

Instructional Resources (IRs) across multiple school

districts.

As a teaching tool, it supports instructional best

practice and is used to locate lesson plans,

supplemental material, assignments, and tests

accumulated by collaborative efforts of school

districts that meet state-defined standards.

As a learning tool, it provides insights to identify

gaps in individual student performance and align

resources most likely to improve understanding.

Core Applications

TEAMS is hosted in the Amazon Cloud at www.teams-hub.com and is accessed 24x7 from a variety of devices including

computer and tablets.

At it’s core TEAMS consists of a set of core applications:

The Assets Hub aligns instructional resources, tests, and other curriculum content created through

collaborative effort to local, state and national standards.

The Report Hub provides immediate access to reports and analyses designed to streamline planning and

measuring student, teacher and school performance over time.

The Search Hub provides instant access to a wealth of quality content through a fully integrated, super-

fast and user friendly search engine

Page 4: Teams Features

Assets Hub

Instructional resources (IRs) can be created using a collaborative

effort by assigning specific components to school districts best

equipped to deliver quality content based upon their track

record.

Curriculum specialists and teachers create and upload their

schools content, align them to standards and organize them into

libraries that so they can be found by others and shared with

other school districts.

School districts may subscribe to and share libraries with other

members of TEAMS to create a trusted network of resources.

Workflows embedded in the application support the authoring,

review, and approval of instructional content items so users can

trust the content they are using.

General

Features

TEAMS unifies access to

education applications for

Students, Parents, Teachers and

Administrators

Page 9: Teams Features

Speed

TEAMS offers an iterative approach for

implementation to allow changing business

requirements to be taken into account,

allowing the system to be provided quickly

for a specific K-12 business area, while not

restricting future extensions.

The system design supports rapid

prototyping, so that a new business

requirement can be quickly explored

together with business users.

Page 10: Teams Features

Flexibility and Scalability

TEAMS has a modular system design that

enables phased implementations to be split

into a series of separate (smaller) projects to

compensate for the different priorities held

by different business areas.

Simplifies the overall implementation by

avoiding the need to run very large projects

or purchase monolithic applications.

Page 11: Teams Features

Expandability

As the district’s data requirements mature,

grow, and undergo changes, potential new

sources of data and need for additional

applications will undoubtedly be identified.

TEAMS is able to incorporate new data

sources and applications quickly without the

need for complex and time-consuming

redesign.

Page 12: Teams Features

User-Oriented

TEAMS adapts to our customers’

requirements through an improvement

lifecycle based on industry trends and user

feedback.

When new features and functionality are

added they are immediately available to all

customers in the hosting environment.

Page 13: Teams Features

Accessibility

TEAMS may be accessed anywhere 24x7 from a

wide range of devices including iPads, iPhones,

iPods, PCs Macs, Android Devices, Windows

Phone and even Microsoft Surface.

The design is optimized for touch screen (next

generation) devices and includes easy to use

controls making the system intuitive and

responsive for frequent daily use.

Applications share the same TEAMS account

information through Sigle-Sign-On.

Page 15: Teams Features

Administer Common Core Standards

Helps schools make sure that all students are

meeting the standards by associating

instructional content with CCSS.

As a teacher, this means that you can quickly

find instructional content that is related to a

specific standard, benchmark, grade level

and/or indicator.

As new standards are implemented, they are

automatically made available in the Assets Hub

so teachers and curriculum specialists can

begin linking their instructional resources..

Page 16: Teams Features

Administer Custom Standards

TEAMS supports the diversity of how each

state and school district chooses to manage

their curriculum by allowing our customers

to define their own standards, benchmarks

and indicators.

The system is flexible in that it allows

customers to maintain multiple standards at

the same time to accommodate the variety

of local, state and national standards that

have been established.

Page 17: Teams Features

Browse Instructional Resources

Resources are maintained in libraries that are

authored by you, your school district and

shared libraries your district has subscribed to

in their resource network.

From the browser, users can upload, edit,

download, copy, approve, share and delete

instructional resources.

Import and Export resources as Zip files.

Easy to use filters and search functionality

makes finding and organizing resources

consistent regardless of their type.

Page 18: Teams Features

Storage and Classification of Resources

The Asset Hub supports the classification and

online storage of a wide range of instructional

resources.

Each resource may be linked to pre-defined sets of

categories, subjects, grade levels, standards,

thinking levels, applications, courses, tests, and

libraries.

Meta-data helps users find resources using the

browser when manage resources and when using

the Search Hub.

Users can store resources in their private library or

publish them to any number of district libraries.

Page 19: Teams Features

Review and Approve Instructional Content

Workflows allow content submissions to be

approved by content library owners where

necessary before committing the resource

to the repository.

They allow customers to subscribe to shared

libraries and approve subscription requests

from other customers on the network.

Page 20: Teams Features

Instructional Resource Networks

Resource networks brings instructional resources

together similar to how social networks allow

individuals to share information with their peers.

With TEAMS, customers can find other customers

who are sharing resources and request that they

share resources.

Networks are point-to-point connections with

resources being shared only between those two

points.

Districts may opt to share their content with the

global TEAMS user community. Content sharing

between networks respects content copyrights to

prevent illegal use of content.

Page 21: Teams Features

Resource Activity Feeds

Resources that users add are automatically

added to your activity feed.

When users choose to watch for changes for

a selected resources, changes such as edits,

comments, approvals and even deletions are

reported in their activity feed.
