because it is God’s instrument for

ministry here on Earth, it is truly the

greatest force on the face of the Earth.

biggest problems – the giants of spiritual

lostness, egocentric leadership, poverty,

The Concept of "We" Begins with God!

cannot solve together, and very few that we can

solve by ourselves.”

biblical times

team,

Jesus & 12 Disciples (one could argue constructed

greatest team ever),


Paul & Silas, Barnabas & Mark,

Gideon’s 300 etc…

Babel is a picture of what can be achieved by a team that is

UNITED – speech, actions,

thoughts, goals, the vision

Purpose deals with why?

Means vs Ends - We have tried to get

unity in methodology rather than in

purpose and destiny

Motive and purpose should shape our methodology

Truth is the Key!

I find it very interesting that the beloved Apostle John, the one that some would call the apostle of love, says toward the

close of his life, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children

are walking in the truth" (3 Jn 1:4).

Truth is the Key!

No greater joy than to hear what? That his children are walking in the truth. Not love or

unity, but truth.

Why? - Very simple: love and unity will not bring truth, but truth can bring both

unity and love. Biblical unity is beautiful because it has depth and it stands on truth

(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of

the earth?

10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might

fill all things.)11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,12 for the

equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

18 You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have

received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the Lord

God might dwell there.

28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that

miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.


Consider after that Maybe then Miracles by

the Multiplicity of Ministries that the Lord may dwell among them.

OPERATIONS


Ministry of the Saints 1 Corinthians 16:15-16

15 I urge you, brethren—you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the

firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints—16 that you also submit to such, and to everyone who works and labors with us.


This is the balance we must bring back

to the Body of Christ!

The balance we must bring to this HOUSE!

We must make up our minds NOW!

Different purpose: TO THE SAINTS

Ephesians 4:12

12 for the equipping of saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the

body of Christ, or (MSG) to train Christians in skilled servant work,

working within Christ's body, the church


To identify their ministry, to bring them into their full potential.

Church is supposed to be school to learn, to grow the saints

for the work of their ministry.


Purpose of School teachers and

administrators is to give the students an

education and graduate them.

We are to touch someone who could do much more than we could

To fulfill DESTINY not just PURPOSE

Purpose is sterile and does not reproduce and when you stop

fulfilling purpose like a machine you are

replaced.

Takes place outside the church but if people are good with

children we put them in children's church within church.


Its for you to fulfill your destiny in your world or sphere of

influence.

Bankers, Doctors are to be empowered and equipped to

be good at their jobs and bring the Kingdom of God to

bear in their world!


To go into the World this is not just preaching, God called you to be special or unique in your world.

Know who you are in your world not trying to find a job in the church system.

10 of 17 epistles were written to the saints not to

preachers.


Control and a desire to be needed & finances has hidden this truth

from us.

To help us find out who we are in this world

Occupation –what occupies you to make a living vs. Vocation must now be

blended together.

Vocation, Called etc Not preaching or soapbox or

directed to saints.

Many want to be preachers because they do not know who they are, if

they did they wont want to preach because its more

glorious!

Distinction: Preaching &Teaching

Preaching is to proclaim and

Teaching is to explain.

TRAINING: 1 a: the act, process, or method of one

that trains 1b: the skill, knowledge, or experience

acquired by one that trains2: the state of being

trained

Teaching them what?

To become pastors and preachers, no! It is

amazing that for many years we have taught that the five fold ministry found in Ephesians and that have Spiritual gifts operating in

them are the only ministries in the church

Ministry vs. Ministry

If the work of the ministry totally within

the church why would need to equip the saints to do the

work of the ministry?

Its simply because there is a ministry

outside the church.


As we have Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists Pastors and Teachers

in Church have we also considered, in the same way, we

also have outside the church in what we call the secular:


Apostles in the market

place like Bill Gates of

Microsoft, who break new grounds


Prophets in the secular world like

stock brokers with an anointing to predict trends in the

world economy.


Evangelists the world greatest

salesmen like the Coca Cola

Marketing Company selling the world a drink that actually does the body harm when taken in excess with a

marking budget of over 5 billion dollars.


Teachers,

this a common as anyone who has gone through

any educational systems with dedicated teachers

who make amazing sacrifices for their

students


Pastors can be represented by

care groups Alcoholic

Anonymous helping people get over

addictions but then again every man is the pastor of his family.

lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify

prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is

Why are we not seeing this impact in church today?

Proverbs 22:6 KJV

(6) Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

(LITV) Train up a boy on the opening of his way, even when he is old, he will not turn aside

from it.

(MSG) Point your kids in the right direction-- when they're old they won't be lost.

Why are we not seeing this impact in church today?

Notice it’s the way he should go not the

way you would that he go i.e. where he wants to go – not a

doctor or lawyer or a pastor, the way he

wants to go – should go

God plans to bless us in egypt and makes us rulers over Pharaoh’s

Our ignorance of this fact has limited our

impact in Government and the Society and we

have not raised a generation to do this!


We in the five fold ministry were not

called to reach the world

We were called to reach the saints. The saints were called to

reach the world!

It’s a joint operation but now we must redefine our:

GIFTS, ADMINSTRATION & OPERATIONS

I need us to find our place either in Ministry TO

the Saints or the Ministry OF the

Saints and in some cases both!
