The Problem

● Parents have to look at several sources to plan a schedule for summer or after school/weekend activities

● There is no single place to create a master schedule

● It is difficult to find and compare similar activities

● Registering for an activity is completely separate from

managing how it integrates into your family's schedule

Our Solution - The Enigma Engine

● Given a set of interests/timing/location/cost parameters, Enigma Engine will propose a schedule with options

● Enigma Engine allows caregivers and service providers

to post their events

● The master schedule calendar allows parents to filter, register and schedule the various activities they are interested in

From Wikipedia: An Enigma machine is any of a family of related electro-mechanical rotor cipher machines used for the encryption and decryption of secret messages. Our Enigma Engine is an online machine that encrypts and decrypts childrens activities allowing only those that are authorized access to read it.

Testing our Value Proposition:

Our Findings + Adaptations

We found: So we modified:

Multiple caregivers (such as mothers, fathers, grandparents, babysitters, nannies and more) are responsible for planning and adhering to the children's schedule

The ability for multiple users to interact with the schedule, allowing for collaboration + communication with caregivers

Page 12: Team InGinia OAP Final Report

Testing our Value Proposition:

Our Findings + Adaptations

We found: So we modified:

Parents are interested in identifying activities in which their friends' children and their children's friends will be participating, in order to join them

We added the ability for social interaction, possibly through direct invitations between users or passive notifications of other users' activities

Page 13: Team InGinia OAP Final Report

Testing our Value Proposition:

Our Findings + Adaptations

We found: So we modified:

Parents are interested in saving money through group discounts or coupons

By making it easy for parents to schedule with other parents as a group, we could more easily attract advertisers + partners while offering substantial discounts to our users

Page 14: Team InGinia OAP Final Report

Testing our Value Proposition:

Our Findings + Adaptations

We found: So we modified:

Parents with multiple children sometimes have difficulty scheduling and attending events due to logistical concerns

By allowing our users to enter a home address, we can estimate travel times and more accurately predict scheduling conflicts

Enigma Engine: Next Steps

● We have decided to continue to pursue our original idea, while incorporating changes based on our findings through research

● More research is needed, which may possibly include:

○ continued pricing research (cost, subscriptions, etc)○ getting responses to a prototype or wireframe
