EATON’S PROCESS

INNOVATION

• SUPER CHARGERS– Eaton manufactures highly

engineered, roots-type positive displacement superchargers

– increases torque across the entire operating range without compromising drivability or emissions

–  incorporates a bypass system to reduce air handling losses when boost is not required, resulting in better fuel economy

Innovation - 1

• FUEL GAUGING SYSTEM– Eaton introduced a chip which

will help in the fuel balancing in the wings

• EXCOMFORT– It’s a system which regulate the

temperature by scanning the outside temperature and if the system feels that the a/c in not required it will show signal telling it to switch it off

Innovation – 2 & 3

• AUTOMATIC TRANSIMISSION (GPS system)

If a truck is moving along an inclining path, the system will sense it with the help of GPS and automatically it shift the gear by sprinkling of oil rather than spoiling the whole fuel

4 C’s of Eaton’s ProcessInnovation

• Grey & unorganized market players

• Automobile control system manufacturers

• Established market players (like General

Electric)

• Early Adaptation stage• Lack of inherent need

in Market• Lack of vertical and

horizontal system integration

opportunities

• Providing Green solutions

• Improving fuel efficiency and user comforts

• Improved monitoring and control systems

• Incorporating more Safety features

• Innovativeness• Working towards

sustainable solutions

• Customer centricity
