2014 MATE ROV COMPETITION

Mission Scenario • Location: Northwestern Lake Huron, Thunder Bay.

• More than 50 shipwrecks within the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary (TBNMS).

• Scientist and conservation groups are needed.

Mission Tasks • Explore, document, and identify an unknown shipwreck.

• Collect microbial samples and measure conductivity of the groundwater emerging from a sinkhole.

• Remove trash and debris from the shipwreck and surrounding area.
