In mid-February, the Berkeley PublicSchools Fund was surprised and honoredto receive a check for $99,110 from theFlorence Oaks Trust. The check follows aseparate gift from the Trust that arrived lastJuly, amounting to $50,000. The Florence Oaks Trust bequest to the Schools Fund will benefit andimpact countless music students in Berkeley public schools, and we areextremely grateful for this gift. Making the Schools Fund a beneficiary of yourretirement plan savings or—like Dr. Oaks—your will, enables you to createan educational legacy that costs you nothing now. There is no minimumrequired, and it is easy to do. Simply request a “Change of Beneficiary” formfrom your plan administrator. Contact the Schools Fund for more information.
