Tea is a popular drink around the world. You can have it hot or cold but, it is mainly preferred hot. Tea leaves come from a tree called Camellia sinensis. Black, Oolong and Green tea are the three main types of tea. Tea is the second most popular beverage in the world.

Where did it come from?Where did it come from?

Well, tea came from the Asian country of China. It all started around five thousand years ago when the Chinese emperor Shen Nung was boiling some hot water when he realised that some leaves had been blown into water from a nearby camellia bush. He tried the hot water and he loved it! The leaves gave a refreshing taste to the water. So that was how tea was invented.

How to make an English tea

1.Boil some water in a kettle. 2.Put a teabag in a mug, use teabags e.g. PG tips or fair trade. 3.After 2-3 minutes pour the water into a mug. 4.Wait because the water will be hot. 5.Take the teabag out.

6.Put milk and sugar to add flavour. 7. Stir.
