The ASEAN and India leaders agreed to continue enhancing the partnership between ASEAN and India that would bring about tangible benefits to both sides as well as contribute to the promotion of peace, stability and prosperity in the region. Port Blair, Sept. 9 A day long awareness campaign was conducted at ward No. 18 today aiming at door to door collection and segregation of waste at source. The first 18 wards are already in practice of segregating the biodegradable and non- biodegradable at the household level itself to achieve better management of solid waste in an environment friendly manner. Momentum has been created now to shift towards this improved system of solid waste segregation at source by creating awareness among the ward residents, shop keepers and other stakeholders at new ward No. 18. Governor expressed his happiness over the launch of Police App & District Police Website and said it will increase the connectivity & communication between the public and police besides bringing transparency in policing. The person living in the remote area gauge the work of the Administration by the performance of the police, said the Lt. Governor asking the Police to be people friendly and perform their duty with utmost sincerity & devotion, to match the expectations of the general public. The Lt.
