ERDOX TERRA represent the quickest and safest solution for “extreme urgency” works made for the stabilization of landsli- de slopes, scarp road consolidation, reprofiling of slopes sub- ject to debris flow or mud flow and for longitudinal and tran- sversal hydraulic works. The technology is based on the use of single-anchoring metal structures, widely defined as "umbrella". These barriers guarantee an optimal corrosion resistance as they are supplied with hot dip galvanizing EN 1461 with steel wire meshes protected with eutectic alloy Zn – Al5% class A (UNI EN 12385-2-4, UNI EN 10244-2, UNI EN 10264-2). Standards Currently no explicit reference standard System technology Erdox Terra is a pyramidal isostatic structure. The frontal cross- shaped structure consists of high-strength HEB beams suppor- ting a structural containment mesh. The stresses are tran- smitted to the foundation through a tubular profile connected to the central node of the front panel through a limited rota- tion spherical joint and a system of steel bracing cables. The retaining of the material is made through a main structural mesh, designed to be able to withstand static and dynamic actions, and by a secondary double-twist wire mesh with the function of reducing the openings. The high-strength spherical central node plays a role of primary importance for the correct functioning of the structure since it allows to obtain a spatial multi-directional hinge connection between the front panel and the stem. This element allows the development of a three- dimensional rotation of the retention panel, adapting the struc- ture to the conformation of the terrain and to the geomorpho- logical variations that develop over time without any unexpec- ted stress being transferred to the structure. The anchoring of the Erdox Terra can be made with different technologies to counteract the horizontal forces such as foundation tierods, self-drilling bars, precast reinforced concrete/galvanized steel plates according to the project specifications. ERDOX TERRA represent the quickest and safest solution for
“extreme urgency” works made for the stabilization of landsli- de slopes, scarp road consolidation, reprofiling of slopes sub- ject to debris flow or mud flow and for longitudinal and tran-
sversal hydraulic works. The technology is based on the use of single-anchoring metal structures, widely defined as "umbrella".
These barriers guarantee an optimal corrosion resistance as they are supplied with hot dip galvanizing EN 1461 with steel wire meshes protected with eutectic alloy Zn – Al5% class A (UNI
EN 12385-2-4, UNI EN 10244-2, UNI EN 10264-2).
Standards Currently no explicit reference standard
System technology Erdox Terra is a pyramidal isostatic structure. The frontal cross- shaped structure consists of high-strength HEB beams suppor-
ting a structural containment mesh. The stresses are tran- smitted to the foundation through a tubular profile connected
to the central node of the front panel through a limited rota- tion spherical joint and a system of steel bracing cables. The
retaining of the material is made through a main structural mesh, designed to be able to withstand static and dynamic actions, and by a secondary double-twist wire mesh with the
function of reducing the openings. The high-strength spherical central node plays a role of primary importance for the correct
functioning of the structure since it allows to obtain a spatial multi-directional hinge connection between the front panel and the stem. This element allows the development of a three-
dimensional rotation of the retention panel, adapting the struc- ture to the conformation of the terrain and to the geomorpho-
logical variations that develop over time without any unexpec- ted stress being transferred to the structure. The anchoring of
the Erdox Terra can be made with different technologies to counteract the horizontal forces such as foundation tierods, self-drilling bars, precast reinforced concrete/galvanized steel

Main features Easy and quick installation even with extreme topographic conditions; Low weight, with benefits for transport and on-site installation; Pre-assembled elements that allow easy and quick assembly in place different from installation site; Reduced worksite equipment and labor; Modular elements that allows, if necessary, sectoral excavations; Low environmental impact (normally all the soil on site is reused);
Design These structures are verified according to structural calculations carried out in accordance with the provisions of the technical
standards in force relating to reinforced concrete and geotechnical works, and more precisely:
D.M. 22.03.2018 “Technical standards for constructions”;
UNI EN 1993‐1‐1 “Eurocode 3” – “Design of steel structures Part 1 – 1: General rules and rules for buildings“; UNI EN 1993‐1‐8 “Eurocode 3” – “Design of steel structures Part 1 – 8: Design of joints”; UNI EN 12385‐4 “Steel wire ropes – Safety”; EN 10204:2004 “Metallic products – Types of inspection documents”.
Experimental tests
All types of Erdox barriers have been subjected to experimental tests both in the laboratory and in the field.
ErdoX Terra:
Test report N.: 076‐07; Type of test: static strain test;
Standards: UNI 10478‐2, UNI 10478‐3, UNI 10478‐4.
Reinforced concrete plate:
Test report N.: 083‐08;
Type of test: calculation of the maximum breaking load of the prefabricated plate.
